Massport expects heavy passenger travel at Logan Airport during the April school vacation period from Wednesday, April 11 through Sunday, April 22. If you are heading to Logan, expect increased traffic through the Ted Williams, Sumner and Callahan Tunnels and along the airport roadway.
Massport advises that you check with your airline to see if your flight is running on schedule, and allow an extra 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Due to the expected increase in passenger traffic, consider taking the MBTA’s Blue or Silver Line to the Airport, or use Logan Express from Framingham, Braintree, Peabody and Woburn.
If you are not taking advantage of April vacation, you should be rewarded with a fairly light commute. While passenger traffic will be heavy at Logan, highway travel will likely be much lighter during the vacation period.
