The state of Montana recently passed a law putting everyone's driving record on-line.

This allows you to check what is actually posted in your record. It also allows others who have a "valid claim" to review your record as well. This can be people "such as an employer doing a background check, the parents of a teenage driver or even a private investigator."
In Montana, driving records are public documents. I assume that it is similar here in Massachusetts, but am not familiar with the law.
I wonder if people would alter their driving behavior if they knew that the general public might have access to their driving records.
Would you?
