What can be done to get drivers to slow down? One Police Chief in Wales is taking a particularly graphic approach to getting people to obey the speed limit.

There was a report on NPR this weekend about how Europe has made progress in reducing traffic deaths, especially France, but they're still falling far short of their public goals released in 2001. Apparently speed and drinking (not always together) are the main causes for all the traffic fatalities...IIRC the report said many highways in Europe have "speed limits" of 80 or 90 MPH (!!!!).
