Willie Mo Pena is not doing Theo Epstein any favors. Every mistake Willie Mo makes, thoughts wander to Bronson Arroyo, who by the way this year has an impressive ERA of 3.25.
The Willie Mo for Bronson Arroyo trade has been well documented, Arroyo making the all star team last year with the 4th lowest ERA in the entire National League. And poor Willie Mo, he seems to be getting worse at the plate and in the field rather than better.
Now it is possible that the 6-3, 245 pound physical speciman Willie Mo, who is just 25 years old, may become a valuable power hitter . The again, have you seen him try to hit a curve ball. Ouch.
Overall, Theo has spent John Henry's money pretty well, with an occasional hiccup-Edgar Renteria & Matt Clement- 2 very expensive hiccups. Red Sox fans can only hope that he doesn't make any MO trades like the Bronson Arroyo deal.
